Sacrificial Coupling investigates the fragility and tension within bonds. Worn by two people, the pair of rings are riveted onto a thin carved bone track, free to slide and rotate; however, any shear force applied to the track will cause it to splinter, permanently destroying the piece and the connection created through its wearing. The piece grants itself direct influence over the body and its motions.
