Hundreds of bar chain links restrain a series of organic, glossy forms: the free movement of the these bodies allows infinite arrangements of the piece. This complicates the connection between the wearer and the object. The line between the wearer’s body and the entities being contained is blurred when fingers interact with the net. Since the piece moves freely and the forms are able to partially protrude from the net, it also resists being worn “properly”. This resistance gives the piece agency: objects that refuse to obey automatically assume a conceptual personality and agenda of their own.
