SEAN EREN
Sean Eren is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in New York City, whose practice encompasses jewelry, hybrid musical instruments, and architectural design. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a BFA in Jewelry + Metalsmithing, Eren's work is characterized by the integration of traditional metalsmithing and woodworking techniques with industrial materials and electronic components. This fusion results in creations that are both wearable and interactive, often incorporating movement and sound to engage multiple senses.
Eren's design approach was recognized by the Center for Craft, awarded with a Windgate-Lamar Fellowship in 2022. Until 2024, Eren also held a CAD engineering position at David Yurman, a renowned American jewelry company. He is now a Master of Architecture Candidate at Columbia University in the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP), Class of 2027, researching and developing architectural designs and interventions through an anti-imperialist lens.
